Why?
I love comics. I read the comics every day, even the ones I KNOW will be terrible, like Momma or Heart of the City. It’s a habit I picked up as a kid.
A few months ago, I started scribbing over the comics that were particularly horrible. It became a daily ritual. I’d read the comics, do the sudoku, and then rip that day’s comics apart. Unbeknownst to me, my co-workers started finding my edits and reading them after I went home. They liked them, so I decided to share them with the world.
Several people have asked me how I would categorize my work. Is it doodling? Contemporary art? Therapy? Comedy? Satire? I suppose it’s all of that.
